Working for Meta Internal Comms, I designed for the internal communications for the 70,000+ employees of Meta globally. Work included internal events such as All Hands, a company wide virtual event to showcase work from across the company, and assisting in the annual Connect presentation.
A highlight of my work for Internal Comms includes a rebrand of the company's internal video channel. This channel, called 'Whats Happening@', houses multiple internal shows that each highlight specific aspects of working for Meta. Each show has its own host, production through internal teams, filming, and unique branding.
When I started, my job was art directing the WH@ branding to include a full style guide, and find interesting ways to connect all internal shows under one house. Below are some defining branding moments.
In addition to the branding, I art directed the logo animation that was featured after every individual show to connect to the larger WH@ brand.
Along with the WH@ branding, I also branded multiple individual shows with their own unique identities. Here are some highlights of episode intros I art directed below:
'4 Reels' is an internal show that features employees Reels highlighting Meta's core values.
The branding is guided by Insta Reels stickers, an accordion layout for videos, and a logo that is dynamic and versatile to exist on any screen.
'All the Things with Melinda' is a show hosted by Melinda Davenport, where she interviews people in Meta leadership to connect employees with Leadership on a more personal level.
The branding is guided by Melinda's bright and fun personality, bringing that energy to the interviews.
'Close Up' is a thematic show that takes a closer look at existing questions in the Meta world. Through interviews, the host clears up topics to educate employees.
The branding is guided by the idea of taking a closer look at topics, and through do that, the picture becomes clearer.
